Kristiina Karinen studied fashion design at the Lahti Institute of Design and Fine Arts in Finnland. She creates unique knitted pieces of art with a fascinating diversity of designs and three-dimensional surfaces using finest italian yarns, from merino, silk and cashmere. This process requires a high degree of manual work, as well as experiments to achieve the poetry and perfection which are characteristic for her creations. Her one of a kind pieces and small series make a strong statement of individual and extraordinary beauty.
