upcycled glass products<\/h1>\n

A series of remodeled glass bottles emerged from Laura Jungmann\u2019s Product Design diploma \u201cSame, same. But different\u201d in 2013. This multiply rewarded work was the origin for the glass collection SAMESAME, which \u2013 in cooperation with glass blower Cornelius R\u00e9er \u2013 is now being exhibited for the first time within the talents section of the consumer goods fair Ambiente in Frankfurt. Visitors will see a collection of reformed glass objects, created by Cornelius R\u00e9er in his glass manufacture and produced from commercially available glass bottles. Those industrially produced bottles are being revalued both functionally and esthetically by means of traditional craftsmanship. Thus, the distinctive features of the industrially produced bottles are being preserved while their esthetics become contradictory: A high-value individual item originates from a standardized mass product. SAMESAME is an attempt to show a new creative way to alternative product and production thinking. The often times misinterpreted term \u201csustainability\u201d by its actual meaning provides the basis of this project. But first of all it\u2019s a tribute to an increasingly forgotten trade.
